A Stylistic Study of Ten Selected Short Stories by Hemingway and Idris; A comparative Stylistic Study introduces a linguistic stylistic analysis of ten short stories by Ernest Hemingway and Yusuf Idris using Leech & Short (1981) stylistic model. It describes also the similarities and differences between Ernest Hemingway and Yusuf Idris' writing style and the degree of Hemingway's influence on Idris's style on three linguistic Levels i.e. the lexical, grammatical, and rhetorical levels. The book comprises three chapters plus an introduction and a conclusion. In the introduction, the author introduces the theoretical framework that suits the selected data. The first and the second chapters constitutes the practical part of the study where the author analyzes the selected data in the light of the selected methodology. The third chapter presents an analytical comparison between the writers.
