Item description from seller

Complete matching two-volume set of A Self Study Course of Common Law and Statutory Law, originally prepared by the Blackstone Institute in 1914 for individuals studying law and preparing for the bar examination. Both volumes include quizzes accompanying the instructional sections. An undated later reprint of the original Blackstone Institute course. No publisher, place of publication, printing date, edition statement, ISBN, or conventional copyright information appears in either volume. The date 1914 printed on the covers and title pages refers to the preparation of the original course and should not be interpreted as the printing date of this particular set. Two substantial perfect-bound softcover volumes in matching gray marbled pictorial wrappers, each with a balance-scale illustration and printed title panel. Spines lettered “Common Law & Statute Law,” with the respective volume designation. Complete as issued in Volumes I and II. Condition: Very Good+ approaching Near Fine. Both volumes appear unread or very lightly handled. Bindings are tight and sound, with no spine creasing. Pages are clean and unmarked throughout, with no writing, highlighting, underlining, or ownership markings observed. Covers remain bright and attractive, showing only minor shelf and handling wear. Light age-related discoloration and faint soiling are visible along portions of the text-block edges, with minor rubbing at a few extremities. No loose or detached pages observed. A notably clean, well-preserved complete set. A scarce and visually distinctive legal self-study course suitable for collectors of historical legal education, correspondence-school materials, bar-examination instruction, and Blackstone Institute publications.
