Print on Demand. This book explores the relationships between senses and existence, opening windows onto human experience from nuanced perspectives. The author's style reflects the shifting thought and sensory perceptions of the main character, a man named Apswern. In a time when people were closely connected with the earth and their senses, living among the unpredictable elements, Apswern attempts to pull back from this traditional existence. He attempts to transcend base sensory reality by depriving himself of luxury, comfort, and even his clothes, so he can perceive the deeper and truer things around him. He lives in isolation, atop a high tower, for years in the pursuit of this higher perception. The book delves into Apswern's inner world, his struggles, and his transformation under the influence of thought and experience, as he questions the nature of identity, the limitations of perception, and the boundaries of the mind and body. His insights will appeal to anyone who has ever asked themselves what life is all about, what our purpose is, and where we are going. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
