Studies In Islamic Jurisprudence (Two Sections) The Concept of Limitation in Islamic Law A Comparative Study & Zakat And Tax With A Conclusive Study of A Hadith By Dr Sajidur Rahman Siddiqui Paperback 125 Pages ISBN: 9782745151858 Dar Al-Kotob Al-Ilimiyah (DKI), Beirut, Lebanon About The Book The term limitation has been defined to mean the time at the end of which no action at law or suit in equity can be maintained. A statute of limitation is an act of limiting the time within which an action must be brought. To further elaborate, we can say that for most actions, periods of limitation are prescribed by statutes, with the consequence that an action commenced after the period of limitation has expired is not maintainable. In short, statutes that impose periods of limitation for classes of actions are called statutes of limitation. In fact, the concept of limitation and lapse of time remained vogue in the legal framework throughout the history of the origin and development of the Islamic legal system. Three words have frequently been used in Islamic jurisprudence, namely Murur al-zaman, Tamadi, and Taqadum. One of the most important collections and codifications of Islamic law, Al-Majalla, includes a full chapter on the subject of limitation. This code remained in force in many Islamic countries, including several states in Malaysia. This Book Covers Two Sections A) The Concept of Limitation in Islamic Law A Comparative Study The stature of limitation in sharia law The passing of a period of time on a ruling before it is executed and dismissal of such ruling. Murur al-zaman, Tamadi and Taqadum According to the four schools of thought B) Zakat and Tax Zakat And Tax With A Conclusive Study of Hadith 978-2745151858.…
