A Student’s Study Guide of English Language Grammar, Punctuation and Writing ( Second Edition ) reference book has been thoughtfully created drawing on almost two-decades of accumulated knowledge and wisdom gained as an English as a Second or Foreign Language facilitator, an Owner / Principal of two Ministry of Education registered and Qualifications Authority accredited English language schools, as well as a TESOL Teacher Training College owner.
The book has been created as a comprehensive alternative to the intimidating thick and costly technical grammar books most English students accumulate. These other books are often filled with linguistic academic jargon that is not easily understood by English language learners ( students ), not to mention being heavy to drag around. But not this one!
With an English language students’ needs in mind, this book has been packed with relevant, practical examples and advice in simple easy to understand terms. It also provides an English language punctuation and writing guide to assist with constructing paragraphs, writing essays, creating business and personal letters, memos, or emails. It is also lightweight and easily carried with you for easy reference. You can’t afford to be without it.
Chapter One is a comprehensive outline to the eight ( 8 ) parts of speech found in English language grammar and its usage, in simple terms. You will find easy to understand explanations and real-life sentence examples for each concept.
Grammar and usage of the English language is extremely complex. A Student’s Study Guide of English Language Grammar, Punctuation, and Writing reference book was never intended to be a complete dictionary of English grammar and usage, but a comprehensive sampling for quick reference. A deeper investigation into each and every concept by the English language learner can be researched and knowledge improved, as needed, over time.
Chapter Two is an English language punctuation guide. The collection can be used as a reference to assist the English language student in the correct use of punctuation as they write.
Chapter Three is a writing guide for students. It provides invaluable information and guidance to all skill levels of writers who may attempt a simple composition, a more complex academic essay, or an advanced formal article. The mechanics from preparation to completion are basically the same.
A Student’s Study Guide of English Language Grammar, Punctuation, and Writing ( Second Edition ) reference book has been designed as a slightly over-sized pocket reference, intended for day-to-day use, and to be carried from class-to-class, location-to-location, by the English language student.
