Item description from seller

One 16 mm colour sound film on 12.5 in. metal film reel, with running time of approx. 35 minutes, with printed company label for Modern Talking Picture Service, Engleman Visual Education Service label on inside of film can (some very minor degradation to sound & picture quality at first 2-5 minutes of film), otherwise consistently in good condition, preserved in the original packing case, sized 13.5 x 13.5 in., metal reinforced corners, remnants of several different labels on the covers, as well as July 1955 Postmark, and also preserving the original canvas ties to secure the box. First release of this 1953 film celebrating not only the Studebaker Centennial, but also released in conjunction with the acquisition of the Packard Motor Car Co. which would be named the Studebaker-Packard Co. for a time. Starring Donald Woods, Harry Carey, Jr., William Bishop, Myron Healey, Harlan Warde, John Hamilton, Robert Cornthwaite, Russell Hicks, and others the film presents the history of the formation of the Studebaker Bros. Wagon Co. in South Bend, IN. The film traces the early development of the brass era Studebaker first marketed in 1913 under its' own name, and finally ends with the brilliant Raymond Loewy designed low-slung coupes -- the Commander Starliner. Unfortunately, within 10 years, the company would shutter their South Bend automobile plant in 1963, and eventually the Hamilton, ONT facility ceased production in March, 1966. A DVD is also offered with this original film transferred from the film.…
