Paperback. Jack, be nimble. Jack, be quick. Tossed into a life of shame and poverty after the death of her secret fiance, Ginevra Allen struggles to make ends meet on the terrifying streets of 1888 London. Her exceptional skill with the violin soon gains her a name as a performer and Ginevra takes up a position at the Blackbird Theatre-where the walls hold just as many secrets as they do shadows. Scratches and moans fill the silence of the night, echoing down the abandoned staircase that creeps up through the theatre into the attic. What is more. Old Jacky has his eye on her now. Faced with a danger more real than anything she ever could have imagined, Ginevra is forced to accept the aid of a man she'd sooner forget, the brother of her late fiance-The Viscount Gainsbury. Lord Gainsbury has not forgotten Ginevra, and his ardent pursuit leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew. Did her fiance really go down with his ship at sea? Or was there something altogether more nefarious at work? With lies and secrets on every side, Ginevra must fight to uncover the truth, even if it means that she ends up digging her own grave. Set at the same time and in the same world as A Brush with Death and A Twist of Fortune, Book Three in The Hands of Fate Series can be read as a standalone, but is riddled with familiar characters, scenes, and the underlying mystery that plagues London during 1888. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
