- Biography and Autobiography
Exploring a pivotal era in India’s struggle for self‑rule through a personal lens.
In this memoir, the author weaves reflections on politics, education, and nation‑building during a time of great change. From the Bengal partition to Nagpur’s political currents, the narrative blends personal memory with observations about leaders, protests, and the push for constitutional reform. The text also covers the practical challenges of running and funding a college, the role of government aid, and the evolving relationship between Indians and British administration.
Readers follow encounters with major figures, debates over Home Rule, and the rise of movements that shaped public opinion. The account touches on family ties, local leadership, and the dangers and hopes carried by a generation seeking a new voice in governance.
- Details of the politics around the Bengal partition and shifts in public sentiment.
- Insights into educational reform, college funding, and administrative cooperation.
- Explorations of the Home Rule movement and its impact on the Congress.
- Personal observations on leadership, public meetings, and moral choices in a changing country.
