AI is transforming how digital products are conceived, built, and delivered—but it hasn't made product strategy less important. The opposite is true: As AI accelerates product development and lowers the cost of building features, deciding what to build, who to build it for, and how to create lasting customer value has become the defining competitive advantage.
In Strategize: Product Strategy and Product Roadmap Practices for the Digital Age (2nd Edition), renowned product management expert Roman Pichler shares proven techniques and practical tools for creating a compelling product strategy and an actionable roadmap. Whether you're developing AI-powered products or enhancing existing digital offerings, this book will help you make better strategic decisions, align your teams, and maximise your product's chances of success.
If you're a product manager, AI product manager/product builder, Scrum Product Owner, product portfolio manager, Head of Product, CPO, or product coach, this book provides the strategic foundation you need to lead with confidence in the age of AI.
What you will learn:
- Create an inspiring vision for your product.
- Develop a product strategy that maximises the chances of launching a winning product.
- Successfully evolve the strategy across the product life cycle to achieve sustained product success.
- Measure the value your product creates using the right key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Build an actionable outcome-based product roadmap that aligns stakeholders and directs the product backlog.
- Regularly adapt and refine the product strategy and roadmap as customer needs, market conditions, and technologies change.
Written in an engaging and accessible style, Strategize combines practical guidance, proven frameworks, and real-world examples that you can immediately apply. This fully revised and expanded second edition includes new concepts, additional tools, fresh examples, and practical tips to help you succeed in today's fast-changing digital landscape.
In an era where AI makes building products easier than ever, strategy is what separates products that simply ship from products that win. Strategize will help you develop that advantage.
