Add to basketOrganizations today are navigating challenging contexts by tinkering with structures, supply chains, technology, and by adopting new ways of working. Management practices are being recalibrated on the go to develop modern, new age organizations that can better deliver on the required speed and agility. Crises, disruptions, and wicked problems have become a part of the business landscape. Interconnectedness and fragility are becoming trademark features of business challenges and organizations are working rapidly to respond to these challenges with solutions that are sustainable, acceptable to multiple stakeholders, and are value based and technology oriented. Leaders are seen to employ myriad strategies in these challenging environments in a bid to pursue sustainable growth.
A deeper investigation of these strategies is required by management researchers in a bid to uncover and explore novel phenomena, significant variables of interest, as also theoretical frameworks that throw light on the new business models and ways of working. Researchers today, therefore, are tasked with realigning their research agendas and methodologies to offer conclusions that enable sensemaking of modern organizations and their growth strategies amidst complex organizational environments. Given the context of emerging trends, new age practices, and wide-spread application of emerging technologies in the world of business, this book offers a research-based perspective of effective solutions to common problems that modern, new age organizations face.
The book will be of interest to researchers, practitioners, and managers working in Business, Management and Marketing; Human Resource Management; Leadership; Operations & Information Management; Organizational Studies; Strategic Management; and Technology & Innovation Management.
