nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Climate change has paused serious threats to agriculture in general and to crop plants in particular. If concerted efforts are not made immediately, it may lead to a serious food crisis. Several approaches have been adopted by plant breeders to overcome the adverse effects of climate change on crop plants. Important among them are: resequencing of the plant germplasm, de novo domestication of the wild species, high throughput phenotyping, genome editing, and speed breeding. Technological advances in Sensors, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and Software Tools have contributed immensely to the breeding approaches having objectives to mitigate the effect of climate change. An attempt has been made to provide up-to-date information on all the above topics with illustrations, wherever necessary. Comparative assessment of various techniques, their relevance, and prospects are also discussed. The book should primarily be suitable for the students, researchers, and teachers of Plant Breeding, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Molecular Taxonomy, and Biotechnology. Being an interdisciplinary subject, the book shall also be useful for related disciplines such as Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Soil Science, Computer Science, and Electronics.…
