Professor Hamed Taherdoost is an award-winning scholar, technology strategist, and educator with over two decades of academic and R&D experience across North America, Europe, and Asia. He serves as Professor and Chair of RSAC at University Canada West and holds adjunct professorships at Westcliff University (USA), GISMA University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and the Victorian Institute of Technology (Australia).
Professor Taherdoost has authored and edited several globally adopted textbooks, including Digital Transformation and E-Business. His books and research materials are used by universities worldwide, including the University of Malta, University of Macau, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, University of Kerala, Western Sydney University, and others. With over 400 publications, his work has made significant contributions to research methodology, technology management, and digital innovation. He serves as Series Editor for Routledge’s Mastering Academic Excellence and Jenny Stanford’s Quantum Computing series, in addition to holding editorial board roles with several high-impact international journals in IEEE, Springer, IGI, MDPI, EAI, and Frontiers. Recognized among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford–Elsevier from 2021, Dr. Taherdoost has received numerous awards for both academic excellence and industry innovation, underscoring his unique ability to bridge academia and industry on a global scale.
Dr. Mitra Madanchian is a distinguished scholar, strategic leader, and industry expert with deep expertise in business management, leadership, human resources, and technology-driven innovation. She currently serves as Assistant Professor at University Canada West (UCW), where she is also the Vice Chair of the Department of Arts, Communications, and Social Sciences in the School of Arts, Science, and Technology. In addition, she holds an Adjunct Professorship at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Dr. Madanchian is also an accomplished entrepreneur and R&D strategist, serving as Director of Quark Minded Technology Inc. and Hamta Business Corporation, where she leads initiatives focused on applied research and strategic innovation.
She holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and a Master of Administrative Science in Human Resources, with over 15 years of industry experience, including leadership roles in SMEs and one of the Big Four firms, KPMG. Her work bridges theory and practice in areas such as business strategy, HR development, marketing, and organizational innovation.
As a prolific academic, Dr. Madanchian has authored over 80 high-impact, peer-reviewed publications across top-tier journals published by Elsevier, Springer, IGI Global, and MDPI. Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to California Books, Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
