"The use of the air as a medium of warfare came, indeed, before the first man-made flight in a powered aeroplane on the 17th December 1903. Even as long ago as the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wards the art of ballooning had been put to a military application.Even so, it is a wholly remarkable fact that within fourteen years of Count Zeppelin's achievement, German Zeppelins were carrying out bombing attacks upon Britain and that within eleven years of the first flight of the Wright Brothers, German, French and British military aeroplanes were making the first essays in bombing operations."All come with matte covers and have some wear and tear as you would expect of books this age, though we have priced them all at the same rate for any collectors missing a certain edition. If you wish to enquire about each or purchase more than one edition, please drop us a message!Ex military library stock so expect to see light wear and possible markings and annotations in the text.
