Everyone has a dark side.
Lane swore she would never become like her late mother. But now she, too, is a serial killer.
One difference remains—she only stalks and punishes the guilty.
While tracking a murderer of teenage girls known as The Strangler, Lane makes a catastrophic miscalculation and kills the wrong man.
Now the family of the man she accidentally murdered is hunting The Strangler—and Lane is forced to cover her tracks by befriending them. Because everyone knows you keep your enemies close.
But are they really enemies? Lane isn’t so sure.
As the hunt tightens around her like a noose and more girls turn up dead, Lane finds herself tempted to trust someone far more dangerous than he appears—someone who could expose every secret she’s buried.
Breaking down her boundaries might bring salvation.
Or it might be the mistake that finally destroys her.
