This walking guide to Sydney was originally published by James William Waugh in Sydney in 1861. The author was a Sydney bookseller and stationer. The directory of Sydney in 1861 consists of descriptions of places for a stranger to visit in Sydney and suburbs, plus a list of streets and public buildings in Sydney city (with huge foldout map), as well as business adverts at rear.
