Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No dust jacket. Textured cloth-covered binding, with a polychrome J. F. Woolrich illustration on entire front cover. (see seller s photo) Shelf wear to top and bottom of spine. Slight sunning to back cover and two small spots. Bottom corners of front and back covers slightly worn. Binding is a bit loose, but text block and spine and covers firmly attached. Text is free of marks, folds and creases, and pages are clean with no sunning. The four original full-color, full-page illustrations are as vivid as when printed and are in the proper page location. (The frontispiece and first illustration have been reattached) Four additional ornate Woolrich drawings illustrate the text. There is no publication date, but it appears to be from the early 1900s. The front inner end-paper bears an inscription to my aunt dated Christmas 1918 . American by birth, J. F. Woolrich moved to London in 1904 and lamentably lost his life in service to England in 1915. This volume was printed by Turnbull and Spears, Edinburgh. 77 pages. For a book over a century old and one that was treasured for its robust retelling of the history of Sinbad and his seven voyages and its captivating illustrations, this volume is in remarkably sound condition.
