Complete unopened single issue, with an illustrated article "The Story of Pitcairn" (pp 264 - 272): "The lesson of the mutiny of the Bounty is, that in the presence of seeming unmixed evil and defeat, the true attitude is not despair . but the spirit of bright hope" (p265). Accompanied by wood block engravings, which include a view of the island, Bounty Bay, John Adam's house, the Church School, John Adam's grave, and Look Out Ridge. New Series, Vol VIII, No. 23. Tall 4to, monochrome frontispiece, pp 257 -320. In the original pale blue printed wrappers, advertisements printed on rear wrapper. Wrapper chipped at lower half of spine, contents and plates are bright and clean.
