Add to basketIn this inspirational Christian novel, Dante Harris, a young African American minister, navigates the complexities of life, faith, and family after a life-altering divorce. Left as the custodial parent of his two stepsons, Marcus and Jamal, and his biological son, Caleb, Dante must rely on God to help him overcome the daily challenges of raising three boys in a blended family. While managing the emotional scars left by his divorce from Camille, Dante seeks to maintain harmony in his household, guide his sons in the ways of Christ, and build a strong foundation for his new relationship with Keisha, a compassionate woman who brings her own unique challenges to the mix as a mother of two.
Through raw honesty, compelling family dynamics, and a deep emphasis on faith, this story explores Dante's struggles with parenting, his battles with self-doubt, and his determination to remain steadfast in his walk with God. As Dante works to create a safe, Christ-centered home for his boys, he also faces the challenges of mentoring troubled youth in his community, fostering discipleship, and helping young men overcome societal pressures.
Devin Johnson
At just 33 years old, Devin Johnson has already experienced a lifetime of lessons that have shaped him into the man he is today. A devoted father to three young men, a passionate youth football coach, and a servant of God, Devin wears many hats with humility and purpose. As a young pastor at Fellowship with Jesus Christ Ministries, he is dedicated to spreading the love and truth of Christ to his congregation and community.
In addition to his pastoral work, Devin is the founder and voice of the 3C's Podcast, where he dives deep into topics of faith, fatherhood, and fostering positive change. Known as an active and influential figure in his community, Devin balances his roles as a spiritual leader and a mentor to young people, embodying the resilience and determination it takes to walk through life's storms with unwavering faith.
As a divorced father, Devin understands firsthand the struggles of navigating life's unexpected trials-fathership, financial difficulties, personal failures, and the ongoing challenge of living righteously in an ever-changing world. Yet through it all, he remains steadfast in his belief that God has a purpose for every journey, no matter how broken the path may seem.
With this fictional novel, Through the Storm: A Journey of Faith and Fatherhood, Devin draws on his own experiences, using storytelling to inspire both believers and those searching for Christ. It's a heartfelt testimony that life doesn't always go as planned, but God's plan is always perfect.
Devin's message to his readers is simple yet profound: no matter the storms you walk through, you are never alone-God walks with you, and His purpose is greater than your pain. Through this book, Devin hopes to remind readers that with Christ at the center, "all things work for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).
Devin Johnson invites you to walk with him through the pages of this novel, where faith, family, and forgiveness intersect. Read, be encouraged, and be blessed.
