About the Author
Richa Goyal Sikri is a journalist and storyteller specialising in gemstones, diamonds, vintage, and contemporary jewellery. She has a bachelor's degree in commerce, a master's in business administration, and is a gemmologist (coloured stones) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
She spent the first 20 years of her career as executive director of STIC Travel Group, Asia's leading travel and tourism organisation. Richa left the aviation and tourism sector in 2018 to pursue a second career in the gem and jewellery sector, and has since delivered talks, projects and articles for the Art Science Museum, Singapore, World Emerald Symposium, Colombia, Asian Institute of Gemmological Studies (AIGS), Thailand, Fabergé, the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), Gem and Jewellery Association of Sri Lanka, World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO), Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India, GemGenève, Buccellati, JNA magazine, Hong Kong, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), Vogue Singapore, Harper's Bazaar, Robb Report, the Natural Diamond Council, Elle magazine, and India Today.
