Paperback. "Reality is the space in between your fingers." In his second collection, poet and author Z.D. Jansa engages with some deeply personal but also heartwarming events in his life. In his classic semi-autobiographical approach to poetry, he takes on the large themes of love, family, and desire in this collection. Z.D. Jansa asks the questions, "What does it mean to be in love in America?" "Does love require sacrifice?" "Is desire a symptom of love or obsession?" "How can you touch the intangible?" and many more. Stillwater, named after the city in Oklahoma is a love letter to an America that is fading away each day. Full of rich detail and imagery, he paints a picture of a childhood fraught with love, pain, pleasure, and mystery. Z.D. Jansa is truly a poet on the rise and Stillwater is one of many to come.
