Print on Demand. This book delves into the fundamental nature of poetry, specifically analyzing the ways in which poets communicate the sensory world. The author argues that poetry's effectiveness in depicting sensory experience stems not from a reliance on explicit sense-based imagery, but instead on the language's capacity to evoke sensory perceptions indirectly, through associations and mental processes. The book goes on to explore the philosophical implications of this argument, examining how our understanding of beauty and aesthetics is shaped by our perception of the world through language. The author challenges traditional notions of the relationship between sense perception and art, offering a fresh perspective on the role of language in artistic expression. Ultimately, this book provides a profound understanding of the unique ability of poetry to convey the sensory world, enriching our appreciation of this art form and its significance in human experience. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
