Bangkok is calling and it smells absolutely incredible.
Pippa Henley and Pieter Döderlein have barely caught their breath after Tokyo before their next adventure pulls them halfway across the world, into the sizzling chaos of Bangkok's night markets, where the air is thick with lemongrass, chili smoke, and the sound of woks hitting flame.
This time, the trail begins with a decades-old recipe scrawled in the back of a market vendor's ledger, a dish so beloved it once brought two rival food stalls to the edge of war, and so mysterious that no one still living can agree on what actually happened the night it disappeared from the menu for good.
As Pippa and Pieter chase the story from floating markets to hidden temple kitchens, they uncover a family rift generations in the making, a proud old cook with more to protect than pride, and a truth about loyalty, forgiveness, and fire that no cookbook could ever properly capture.
Their shared notebook, the Flavour Atlas, grows one page richer, and one recipe closer to complete.
Sticky Rice & Street Fire is a story about the food that brings people back together, even after everything that once pulled them apart.
For readers aged 10-14. The adventure continues in Book 3 of the Flavour Hunters series.

About the Author
Rowan Atlas is a primary school teacher with over 20 years of experience educating students across Australia and internationally. An avid traveler with a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and food, Rowan channeled his adventures into The Flavour Hunters Series. The books follow Pippa Henley and Pieter Dodorlein, two spirited adventures, as they explore the world while on tour with Pieters' orchestral parent. Each book drops them into a new city where they eat their way through real, existing restaurants and street-food stalls, chase down a piece of local history or legend tied to a dish, and stumble into a light mystery or challenge along the way Rowan hopes the series gives young readers a love of adventure, curiosity, and trying something new.
