Paperback. "Stick with Jah" comes with ideas central to Nigel Daring's works: the importance of spirituality; the value of personal dignity; the resilience needed to rise from depravity; the worth of morality; the necessity of unity; the prioritization of humanity; the call for peace and stability. The book addresses these issues through powerful poetry. From the first line in the first poem "Stick with Jah" (also the book's name), Mr. Daring states his most cherished message: "Stick with Jah through thick and thin". It's this idea that operates at the core of all messages and advice relayed in this work. Fundamentally, it's Jesus' message to seek God first and all things shall be added. The second poem in the book recognizes money as crucial to modern survival. But it simultaneously warns of its deleterious potential. The poem cautions us within advice rendered by Emperor Haile Selassie I. "The Power of Love" has a similar notion resonate in its messaging. It declares "materials and money don't give real power". Love is a higher power that's worth submitting to. This book has an idea like this repeated in various poems: we shouldn't allow ourselves to be ruled by our baser instincts. Rather we should value our higher self and submit to the yearnings thereof. There's ever a consciousness in "Stick with Jah" the book about the world we live in. It's one that it impresses upon the reader to be aware of and beware of. The poetry in this book often calls for personal as well as collective resistance. From these struggles, survival and progress can be had individually and communally. What some poems in this book also focus on is the importance of looking out for our fellow man. Unlike current notions of success, Nigel Daring views it as a collective enterprise. It's not an individual rise devoid of concern for others. Humanity is important to one's personal definition, but it's additionally essential to society's stability and survival. "Stick with Jah" wholly embraces and encourages it. It's a book that provides advice and insight all can appreciate. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
