Why do promising infrastructure and development projects fail to secure international financing—even when billions of dollars are available for investment?
The problem is often not the absence of capital. It is the gap between having a good project idea and presenting an investment-ready, bankable transaction capable of surviving institutional scrutiny and due diligence.
In Step-by-Step Getting Your Project Financed by International Project Funders, Dr. Raphael Adeyemi provides a practical, execution-oriented roadmap for project developers, infrastructure sponsors, government officials, corporate executives, consultants, engineers, and financial professionals seeking international capital for major projects.
This book takes you systematically through the journey from project concept to financial close, showing you how to:
• Identify international funders whose mandates actually match your project
• Understand DFIs, multilateral development banks, commercial lenders, infrastructure funds, export credit agencies, and climate financiers
• Transform an early-stage project into a more bankable investment opportunity
• Identify, allocate, mitigate, and document critical project risks
• Structure equity, senior debt, subordinated debt, concessional capital, guarantees, and blended finance
• Understand CFADS, DSCR, LLCR, and project-finance sensitivity analysis
• Integrate ESG, climate resilience, and development impact into project preparation
• Prepare an investment-grade Project Teaser and Information Memorandum
• Build a lender-ready Virtual Data Room
• Navigate institutional due diligence and term-sheet negotiations
• Manage Conditions Precedent and progress toward financial close
• Control drawdowns, reserves, covenants, reporting, and post-financing compliance
The book also includes worked financing examples, practical matrices, checklists, risk-allocation tools, and an International Project Funding Readiness Scorecard to help you determine whether your project is genuinely ready to approach institutional investors and lenders.
Whether you are developing an energy, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, utilities, industrial, renewable-energy, or other major capital project, this book provides a disciplined framework for progressing from:
PROJECT IDEA → FEASIBILITY → BANKABILITY → INVESTOR ENGAGEMENT → DUE DILIGENCE → FINANCIAL CLOSE → SUCCESSFUL EXECUTION
International financiers do not simply finance good ideas. They finance well-prepared, properly structured, risk-allocated, and institutionally credible projects.
If your objective is to move your project beyond the proposal stage and position it for serious international capital, this book provides the step-by-step framework to begin that journey.
My recommendationUse this version for KDP. It combines search relevance with a strong sales message without sounding like an exaggerated funding promise.
Also, don't put the book's price, website links, email address, customer reviews, or claims such as “guaranteed funding” in this field.
After entering this, the next important section is Categories. Send me what KDP displays there and I'll recommend the strongest categories for the book.
