If you have ever:
- Talked yourself out of opportunities
- Felt capable but invisible
- Doubted your own voice or your worth
- Avoided situations where you might be seen or judged
- Known you had more to give but could not quite access it
Written by former BBC TV producer turned confidence hypnotherapist Annette Williams, Step Into Your Spotlight blends behind-the-scenes television experience with powerful mindset tools to help you understand what is blocking your confidence and how to change it, rebuilding your self-belief from the inside out.
After nearly four decades working with presenters and performers, Annette saw first-hand that even people who look confident on-screen struggle with self-doubt, fear of judgement and imposter syndrome. Confidence is not about personality; it is about what you believe about yourself.
Inside this book, you will discover:
- Why your brain treats attention as danger and how to retrain it
- How to remove the mental obstacles that keep you stuck
- Ways to reset your self-belief and trust yourself again
- Techniques to calm nerves before interviews, presentations and difficult coversations
- How to walk into a room without feeling all eyes are on you
- Tools to stop overthinking and second guessing
- Practical strategies you can use in everyday life
- Real success stories of client transformations
- Insights from well-known presenters and performers, including Helen Skelton, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Ricky Wilson, Mark Wright and Ade Adepitan MBE
- Reflection prompts and confidence rules
- Exercises to help you use your voice with more ease
This is not about becoming louder, brasher or more extrovert.
It is about becoming more you.
Whether you want to feel more confident at work, in relationships, in social situations or in how you see yourself, this book will help you clear what is in the way. As a result you will step forward with more belief, courage and clarity.
Confidence is not something you are born with.
It is something you build.
And Step Into Your Spotlight shows you how.
Read this book. Your favourite presenter has probably worked with Annette – and she’s great!
