New York. Lyons and Burford, Publishers. 1991. First edition, first impression. Quarto (11 x 9). 494 pp. including bibliography, index. Color plates showing a large number of steelhead fly patterns dressed by many well-known fly fishers, including several premier practitioners of the art. Plus dressings for hundreds of flies. Black and white photos and biographies highlighting Pacific Coast steelhead fly fishing pioneers along with a few "steelhead crazies" and descriptions of the rivers they fish. A monumental and well-received book on the sport. The book is bound in black cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Pictorial dust jacket. A previous owner has tipped-in on the front end paper a color plate (salmon flies) from Mary Orvis Marbury's book, Favorite Flies (the plate is from an early edition - printed in six colors - and it's a belated homage to Victorian beauty). A very good book in a very good dust jacket with a touch of edge wear.

Shipping terms
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. My chosen shipping option is the U. S. Postal Service. USPS is the best in terms of service and cost efficiency ¿ even though recent overseas rates, effective January 2013, have skyrocketed. USPS requires mails sent overseas and Canada can ONLY be sent by AIRMAIL. Charged at actual cost. Other overseas shipping options are available, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.; however, they are frightfully expensive.
