As an avid follower of Steampunk, you might have an idea about the kind of drawings Steampunk consists of. Let us give you a brief introduction about this form of art and how it came to the mainstream. In layman’s terms, Steampunk is basically modern laptops, aircrafts, cars etc. set in the backdrop of 1800s. Steampunk is actually a movement of art inspired from the Victorian Era of England. It is a sub-genre of fantasy and science fiction. It also includes aesthetic designs with technological drawings inspired by the Victorian age or 19th century machinery. This machinery was mainly steam powered. Hence, the name- Steampunk originated. Some people also credit the origin of the term to be derived from the word- Cyberpunk.
