wealth is as difficult to preserve as it is to create. estate, gift, and income taxes; probate expenses and delays; liability and the threat of litigation; investments that go bad; poor estate planning and other missed opportunities; business-succession problems following death or disability of a key owner; economic hardships of divorce; skirmishes following the death or incapacity of an estate owner; ignorance of how charitable giving works - even such "blessings" as longevity - can waste or destroy wealth that has taken a lifetime to accumulate. staying wealthy delivers proven strategies to solve the 60 biggest worries that most people find out about too late, and tells the reader when and how to implement each strategy, including the documentation, research, and expert advice needed and where to get it.
From the Author:
The mission of this book is to help readers protect wealth.
"Staying Wealthy" approaches the subject of wealth preservation from the perspective of the reader. I wanted to write a book that itemized the potential "problems" of wealth preservation and then pose solutions. Most books give the reader a grocery list of planning techniques without any clue as to the problem being addressed. The book also directs the reader to the most appropriate professional to solve the problem. My experience includes 30 years in financial services, a BA(Princeton), JD, MSM (Management) and MSFS(Financial Sciences), and both the CLU and ChFC designations.
