Gilt title to spine on red cloth boards which are clean and unmarked with just a little wear to spine head and tail and to lower corner tips. Internally there is a small name and year to front endpaper, some remnats of tape to endpapers and just a few marks also to endpapers else very clean, tight and unmarked. xii + 357 pages. Third edition (first was 1912). The book had its origins in a course of lectures given for a number of years in the Manchester University, but has received various additions and developments. The present volume differs from many academical manuals in the prominence given to geometrical methods, and in particular to those of Graphical Statics.
