Some cover, edge wear. Pages near good; some ripple, roll, moderate discoloration at bottom corner throughout. Bind good, square. Few bookstore marks. Solid working example of this scarce volume. An edited volume of eleven chapters that focus on state policy and its consequences for economic development and social transformation in East Asia. The introductory chapter anticipates the conclusions of the chapters to follow, arguing that an adequate explanation of the Asian miracle must take into account the central role played by state economic and social policy - a requirement that is largely ignored by prevailing free market and culturalist accounts. 320 pages. Insured post. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
