Synopsis:

Hell Has No Stars is the biography of a young man's struggle with depression throughout his teenage years. This story allows the reader a glimpse into the world of a person fighting with depression in hopes of helping others with their struggle.

About the Author: Justin A. Mercer is a college student who has suffered with depression since he was 12 years old. Hell Has No Stars is his contribution to ending the stigma surrounding mental health, and an effort to assist others suffering through depression. Besides his work in mental health activism, Justin is a Brother in Alpha Phi Omega-National Service Fraternity. Other activities Justin enjoys are: riding his motorcycle, playing and watching soccer, watching college football, and camping and spending time outdoors. Justin cultivated his love of the outdoors in the Boy Scouts of America, of which he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. While Hell Has No Stars is his first published work, Justin has enjoyed writing since an early age and frequently writes stories for fun. He hopes to publish some of those stories one day. He is currently studying for his Masters Degree in Social Science Education at Auburn University.
