How do you keep standing when life knocks you down again and again?
Valerie Silveira’s story is one of extraordinary resilience. From childhood trauma to the heartbreaking addiction and murder of her daughter, she spent more than two decades battling fear, shame, and overwhelming grief. Yet instead of letting tragedy define her, Valerie made a powerful choice:
She stood up—and she kept standing.
Still Standing is a deeply personal memoir about surviving unimaginable loss and finding the courage to rebuild life one step at a time. With honesty and vulnerability, Valerie shares the real story behind her journey through trauma, healing, and personal transformation.
More than a story of survival, this book introduces the experiences that shaped Valerie Silveira’s signature 9 Weapons of Hope®—practical tools for facing fear, overcoming adversity, and reclaiming your life.
While Still Standing After All the Tears focuses specifically on helping families navigate addiction, Still Standing reveals the broader story behind the message. It shows how Valerie found strength in the darkest seasons of her life and how those lessons became a source of hope for others.
This book is for anyone who has ever felt:
• broken by loss or betrayal
• overwhelmed by grief or fear
• trapped in shame or past trauma
• unsure how to move forward after heartbreak
Through powerful storytelling and hard-earned wisdom, Valerie reminds readers that even after life’s most devastating moments, it is still possible to rise, rebuild, and stand strong again.
If you are searching for a memoir about resilience, overcoming trauma, healing after loss, and rediscovering hope, Still Standing will remind you that courage is not about never falling—it’s about choosing to stand back up.
