nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The standard light operas, their plots and their music is an accessible reference guide that introduces readers to well-known light operas and operettas through clear and engaging storytelling. Designed for general audiences, it focuses on simplifying opera plots while highlighting how music enhances emotion, humour, and dramatic expression. The work responds to growing interest in light musical theatre by presenting a curated selection of popular pieces in a reader-friendly format. Instead of offering dense or technical analysis, it emphasizes narrative clarity and theatrical appeal, making it especially useful for beginners. The text also acknowledges the challenge of defining a fixed standard repertoire, choosing instead to focus on widely enjoyed and culturally significant works. By treating each opera as both entertainment and artistic expression, the book helps readers better appreciate the relationship between story and music. Its practical and inviting tone makes it a valuable theatre companion and an approachable introduction to the world of light opera and operetta.…
