The Standard Electrical Dictionary by T. O'Conor Sloane, published by Munn & Co. This revised and enlarged edition is described on the title page as a popular handbook of reference giving definitions of around five thousand electrical engineering terms, fully illustrated. The copyright page shows dates of 1892 and 1897, with printing by The Caxton Press, New York. The book is bound in dark blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine reading "Standard Electrical Dictionary, Sloane, Revised and Enlarged, Munn & Co." Decorative bands appear top and bottom of the spine. The spine head and tail show wear, with frayed cloth and some loss at the corners. The front and back boards are rubbed at the edges and corners, with scattered light marks and scuffing to the cloth surface. The text block edges are stained yellow-brown. Internally, the sample page shown has light age toning, with clear printed text and a diagrammatic illustration of lines of magnetic force.
