--Mandarin--
Mandarin is the official spoken language of the People's Republic of China, the official language of Taiwan, and one of the four official languages of Singapore. It has more native speakers than any other language. Standard Mandarin is based on the Beijing dialect.
--About this course--
This course has been designed to assist United States government staff in gaining a practical command of spoken Standard Mandarin. It consists of a set of nine self-contained core modules, in addition to the resource and optional modules. A situational/communicative approach is employed. The course is suitable for independent study and includes extensive recordings, which are available for download from the publisher's website: OmiliaLanguages.com
--About this book:--
This book is the workbook for the first two core modules of the course: Orientation Module: Talking about who you are and where you are from, Biographic Information Module: Talking about your background, family, studies, occupation and about your visit to China. It is intended to be used in conjunction with the book "Modules 1, 2 Student text."
