Paperback. He's been undead for 800 years. The worst part wasn't the hunger. It was the lies.William of Greave, the man better known as Robin Hood, was never the noble outlaw history loves to celebrate. He was a criminal, a survivor. and eventually a vampire. Now, centuries later, a television network has literally dug him up for a prime-time interview. What follows is not a love story, not a confession, and certainly not the version taught to schoolchildren. As William dismantles the myth piece by piece, the truth begins to surface: the violence behind rebellion, the rot beneath heroism, and the uncomfortable fact that history prefers a good story to an honest one.A Stake in Nottingham is a darkly comedic mockumentary-style novel about myth, memory, and what happens when the man behind the legend finally gets the microphone. He's been undead for 800 years.
The worst part wasn't the hunger...
It was the lies.
William of Greave, the man better known as Robin Hood, was never the noble outlaw history loves to celebrate. He was a criminal, a survivor… and eventually a vampire.
Now, centuries later, a television network has literally dug him up for a prime-time interview. What follows is not a love story, not a confession, and certainly not the version taught to schoolchildren.
As William dismantles the myth piece by piece, the truth begins to surface: the violence behind rebellion, the rot beneath heroism, and the uncomfortable fact that history prefers a good story to an honest one.
A Stake in Nottingham is a darkly comedic mockumentary-style novel about myth, memory, and what happens when the man behind the legend finally gets the microphone.
