Size of textured-surfaced, cream-colored mounting card: 14 1/4" x 18 1/2", size of mounted Foster photograph, printed in brown tones: 10 7/8" x 7 7/8". Matt-surfaced photograph has been mounted by being pasted to the card. Edges of the card show some chipping & wear, top-edge of photo shows some "silvering" to surface. Title is written in pencil under the image: Spring Sun. Finley Foster was associated with Western Reserve University, and was an amateur artistic photographer; it is possible this was an entry for a show (possibly the Cleveland Museum of Art's "May Show", or the "Salon of [May Show] Rejects Show, held by our founder, Peter Keisogloff (1900-95), during the 1940's-'50's). Image features sun-cast shadows of trees across a leaf-littered, early spring bankside. Scan shows the photo & part of the card.
