Full calf leather binding. Spine has five raised bands, black morocco title label, gilt decoration to compartments. Gilt decorative border to boards, gilt hashed board edges, blind tooled turn-ins. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Leather rubbed to spine and board edges, slight wear to ends of spine and corners of boards. Tear to head of spine with old repair. Boards have marking from contact with a letter with wet ink. Good solid binding, clean text throughout. Engraved frontis and vignette to title page, both hand coloured. Prize inscription to leading blank - Edinburgh Institution for the Education of Young Ladies (Dated 1849). Scarce. Overall condition is Good. International postage will be less than the stated rate.
