Print on Demand. This book highlights the neglected contributions of abolitionists who courageously fought to end slavery before 1800. The author reveals how the religious and humanitarian impulses of individuals like Benjamin Rush and Granville Sharp galvanized a movement that eventually led to the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade and the emancipation of slaves in the United Kingdom and its colonies. Exploring the transnational dimension of abolitionism, the book sheds light on the complex interplay between activists in Britain, the US, and the Caribbean. By delving into the multifaceted roles of these early abolitionists, this book offers valuable insights into the origins and development of the abolitionist movement, illuminating its significance in the broader struggle for human rights and social justice. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
