This is a charming, antique copy of "The Spell of the Yukon and Other Verses" by Robert Service. 1915; Barse & Hopkins; New York. This edition features 16 full-page illustrations, each with a captioned tissue guard. Gilt top page edges. Illustrated front cover and spine. The book is a collection of rhythmic, narrative poems celebrating the Klondike Gold Rush, the rugged Canadian North, and the resilient spirit of prospectors. It captures the harsh beauty, isolation, and dangerous allure of the Yukon wilderness, focusing on themes of adventure, wanderlust, and survival.
Condition:
Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Some of the pages at the first half of the book (up to about page 61) have a light stain at the upper and/or outer page edge.the second half of the book is free of any staining and clean. Bright gilt top page edges. The contents pages have tears at the bottom edge. There is an inscription written in pen dated 1919 on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Good condition.
