Paperback. The Short Story is a place where an idea can get bones. Where a concept could either die a quiet death or possibly become a storyline. Where a hidden novel could come out of hiding. Where a hundred possibilities can achieve completion in the same time a novel is tediously developed. It's a place where campfire folklore and things that go bump in the night can become alive. In short they are fun to write and can sometimes lead an author down an unexpected path! "Speculations" is an 18-story book that investigates the incredible nature of human gullibility, a practical joke that goes horribly wrong, a much too interactive graveyard, an old man whose stories come alive with the telling, proof of life after death, an encounter with a ghost, and the danger of being the smartest person alive.
