Specific absorption rate (SAR) is a rating indication of the amount of radiation that is absorbed into a body, especially, head while using a cellular phone. Typically, all cell phones fall within the prescribed safety standard of 1.6W/Kg in the USA and 2W/Kg in Europe and Japan. SAR evaluation itself was implemented as a response to the ongoing concerns about the safety of cell phone use, as well as connection of cell phone radiation to potential occurrence of some types of cancer. Learn more about SAR in this book. Englisch.
