The Friends of the Salem Public Library Bookstore, located inside the central library building in downtown Salem, Oregon, sells donated books and other print and non-print material in order to raise funds for children's literacy programs at the Salem Public Library. Our Friends organization, founded in 1957, is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt and 509 (a)(2) public charity. In addition to our bookstore and regular bi-yearly book sales, the Friends have been selling books online since February 2004.

Shipping Terms:
Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. Most books will be shipped in padded mailers. Heavy or oversize volumes will be wrapped securely and boxed for shipping. Delivery Confirmation will usually be included with domestic shipping. Insurance is extra as is Priority or Express Mail. We ship domestically via Media Mail. Given the relatively high cost of mailing large and/or heavy books overseas, potential international buyers should email queries to us at bibliophilesalem@yahoo.com regarding shipping costs prior to placing a book order. Thank you.
