Neuware - Space: for Immanuel Kant, among many others, it lay at the foundation of human thought and action. This makes it a fascinating mystery, for it is difficult to think about what makes thinking possible in the first place. For this reason, art often takes an imaginative path when rendering perceptible the multiform possibilities and dazzling modes of experience of the spatial. This catalogue brings together works of art that explore the history and philosophy of space in its many facets. Particular attention is paid to our present, in which familiar spatial constellations are transformed and created entirely anew through digitalization and virtualization. Accompanied by profound essays, this richly illustrated book thus opens up intoxicating perspectives on the foundations of our living environment. It is an adventure for the senses and the meaning behind them.
