Description: Dust jacket art by Gail Owens; jacket typography by Diana Hrisinko. ''Michael Carver, his sentence at the state work farm completed, is starting life over at eighteen, looking for the 'space of his own' that has so far eluded him. The novel, in its vivid California setting, depicts a searching, troubled boy finding a new relationship with the father he thought he had shut out of his life.'' This was the author's second book for young readers. His first was When We Lived With Pete. In later years he wrote Malibu Summer, All Our Yesterdays, Guys Like Us, Fleeced, The Mandate of Heaven. BINDING/CONDITION: gray binding; a Very Good book, with a Good dust jacket; publisher's price on the jacket flap is intact. The jacket is very good but for being faded at the spine. 8vo (8.5 inches tall). 197 pages.
