Paperback. Cory Ross has always been able to see things others can't, be it the past, present, or future. Her sense has always been in the back of her mind, watching, whispering, saving. It wasn't easy growing up different, despite the care her Uncle Jerry bestowed, raising her from infancy after her parents' deaths. After spreading her wings at college, life was even harder when her uncle passed and Cory had to return home to an empty house. Still, nothing compares to the turn her life takes when Cory is contracted to help the local police department catch a serial killer, dubbed "Leech" by the news for the unnatural, chilling aspects of the case. As Cory delves deeper into the investigation, she finds herself enmeshed in troubles that increasingly defy standards of normalcy. And learning about the motivations behind this "Leech" murderer may unearth secrets and truths that Cory could never have dreamed possible, let alone have prepared for.************Sam Meroney is an English instructor in community colleges throughout the San Joaquin Valley in California, where she grew up with her fanciful, private investigator of a father and her career waitress and dedicated, loving mother. She lives with her husband, Kevin, and cat, Stormageddon (Dark Lord of All), and spends most of her time writing, reading, watching, teaching, thinking, and breathing in stories.
