Lisa Devon's second book of poetry is even more impactful than her first. These powerful poems about current social issues will light a fire in your soul to change the world. Her work beats with the rhythm of today and she does not back down from tough themes. Her ability to visualize in words current events is uncanny.
Spoken word in written form often lacks delivery on the page, but not this work. You will find yourself wanting to stand-up and speak the words yourself. If you are socially conscious read this book for motivation. If you are a working woman you will find poems to empower you. If you have not read poetry since high school, read this book to gain a new perspective on what poetry can be.
