A Geneve) stamped at back. 34pp, 8 blank, translated in to English by L.E.W. (?) with handwritten note ( in Italian) inside from L E W. Comprising 10 Sonnets, with beautiful engraved borders. Petrarch created the sonnet and was the master of both classical Latin and a major contributor to the Italian style of the Renaissance. It was he who spoke of Medieval Europe as "the dark ages".
