After 34 individual issues, 8 collected books, and 25 years, author Robin Bougie's celebrated cult movie magazine Cinema Sewer came to a lamented finish - but out of the ashes rises a new titan of the alternative media underground: SONIC SEWER!

A handmade mix of gonzo writing, illustration and comics about the most bizarre, groovy, sexy, awkward, genre-defying, and thought-provoking music in modern recording history, SONIC SEWER joyously and shamelessly celebrates the coolest aspects of the vinyl format and the various types of music recorded onto it. From dollar bin trash to highly collectible grails and rarities, Bougie utilises his mysterious connections within the pop culture lexicon to delve deep into the audiophile septic system, dredging eyebrow-raising stories and rarely seen trivia in the distinctive and highly personal manner that has made him infamous for decades amongst a loyal following of fans.

Nearly 200 pages of never-before seen essays, reviews, rants, interviews and lists are smashed together in this first highly-readable volume, generously garnished with illustrations by Bougie and some of his talented friends from the comic book and animation industries. Regardless if you're just discovering the intriguing world of vinyl, or if you're a deeply experienced 'old head' that has a collection that's gone beyond your control, you'll find plenty to get excited about as you gleefully slosh around in the SONIC SEWER!

'Bougie (along with his fellow contributors) presents himself in a warts and all uncensored form... like an adventurer to distant and dangerous lands who comes back to relate his adventures to stay-at-homes like me.' - Ozzie Scribbler, Goodreads.com

'If you enjoy the combination of lost popular culture and general weirdness, then Robin Bougie is your man... (Robin) has so much enthusiasm for the subject, and his love of what he is sharing with you is just so contagious.' - Olman Feelyus, olmansfifty.blogspot.com

Robin Bougie... Thanks to the long-established success of Robin’s previous Cinema Sewer book series, he has found a loyal audience amongst popular culture media fans looking for something different. Having said all he ever wanted to say about cult movies, Robin is now turning his attention to his other great passion: music, and vinyl record collecting in particular.
