Item description from seller

"A Solemn Review of the Custom of War, Showing That War is the Effect of Popular Delusion, and Proposing a Remedy" by Philo Pacificus, Tenth Edition, followed by seven numbers of "The Friend of Peace. Noah Worcester (1758-1837) was a Unitarian clergyman and important figure in the history of American pacifism. He wrote under the pseudonym of Philo Pacificus. Full leather covers are rubbed and a little worn. Black leather spine label is a little chipped, though lettering remains good. Contents show signs of age, though remain generally clean and intact. Volume remains tight and solid. A nice copy.
